The town of Warlock in Grimdale was Series 7's less visited equivalent to Wolfenden: a safe place for trading items and information.

As well as Warlock, Grimdale includes woodland, where two teams met Rothberry the apothecary: not welcome in the town because, according to Romahna, "the town fathers can't abide explosions" from his alchemy.

Grimdale is part of the extended Knightmare mythology in official fan club newsletter The Quest, according to which it has a tavern, a fishmonger and a monastery.

In reality, Grimdale is Kentwell Hall in Long Melford, Suffolk.

Grimdale is an official sanctuary, which means that folk from the dungeons and other places are allowed in here to trade, so long as they show no aggression.
