Re: I'm back - I'm making a Knightmare D&D campaign!

Hey guys, it's been a while :) I didn't know if the forums were still up, but recently I showed a group that I'm in one of the Dunshelm Players' audio plays, so I thought I'd come back here. It's cool to see you're all still active. As for me, I've been busy. I'm now 22 and currently a few months o...

Re: Early Memories

hm, it certainly would be in my case. I saw the earlier series first and still have a preference for them. The dungeons just seem more....dungeon-like than forests and castles :)

Re: TruffleShuffle's Knightmare merchandise

I did a little investigation on these. They are certainly not 'official'. They are not endorsed by Tim, nor is the use of the Knightmare name in any way licensed. They could perhaps be considered 'legit' in that David Rowe appears to have an understanding with them regarding the use of his images. S...

Introducing Sheeple to KM Chat

We've added a new game to Knightmare chat - Sheeple, based on the game of the same name. A category is randomly selected (e.g. Knightmare characters), and players have 60 seconds to privately list items belonging in that category. The game plays a little bit like pointless in that more obscure answe...

Re: Fun and Games visiting Real-Life Knightmare Locations

Nice 'shopping there :) Re: Video documenting some of the Knightmare locations We did have a plan to start doing some more behind-the-scenes videos of this nature. We still have a bunch of footage from when we went to visit David Rowe a couple of years back, which I need to see if I can try and resc...

Re: Discord Server

I've been quite keen to move away from IRC for a loooong time - I don't think it's at all newbie friendly. I looked at Discord a while ago and found it to be essentially a modernised version of IRC. What put me off, though, was being at the mercy of Discord themselves. That is, you can't run your ow...

Re: Challenge TV 'talked endlessly' about bringing back Knightmare

I still don't think that aspect alone would be as challenging financially or technically as it was back then. I am one of the few that had some exact numbers regarding the financial costs of both series 8 and geek week. Unless I've missed something the cost hasn't changed (taking inflation into acc...

Re: Challenge TV 'talked endlessly' about bringing back Knightmare

These days, I believe, that side of it would be pennies. Every half-hearted youtuber uses chromakey nowadays, it's as common as mud and certainly in no way expensive. I'm afraid that the cost of doing it properly is ludicrously expensive, even today. Knightmare's use of chromakey isn't a simple bac...

Re: Series 4 graphics reimagined

Awesome stuff :) I suppose Tim Child's vision was always for Knightmare to be like a videogame, so I guess, technically, the show was merely fulfilling its original brief by moving more over to CGI. That's generally been my take on things and I think he's even said as much. More recent incarnations ...

Re: Blackpool meetup in June-August 2019?

Myself and Claire aim to meet early afternoon at Blackpool North station - anyone else on a train coming via train with an arrival time that's similar for us to stay around for? Aye. Due into North at 13:20 . Though very much hoping that tonight's chaos at Euston is sorted by the morn. The last tim...

I'm in, done, dusted, sorted.

Who's up for our triennial game of 'spot the turd' off Blackpool Pier? ;D
Is he coming as well, then?
Nope
