Lillith

By Keith McDonald

Lillith was an unpredictable sorceress who appeared in Level 1 during the first two seasons of Knightmare. Teams had to please her, or they perished.

Lillith was an uncompromising sorceress who was seen only in her domain - by the Serpent's Mouth.

She sat above a giant gorge and normally required a pledge or gift to summon her causeway, which allowed the dungeoneer to exit safely.

Rock to rock and stone to stone, span the pit and cross the zone.

Lillith

Lillith's Domain, based on a handpainted scene by David Rowe, as shown on Series 1 of Knightmare (1987).

Lillith's mood and behaviour were unpredictable, and she was often found ill or unkempt. Teams often received a clue from a Wall Monster to bring her something suitable.

There was no way to exit the chamber without her help, and several teams perished at her hands. She would collapse the ground under their feet, and they would fall to their deaths.

Dominion over the Dungeon Master

Lillith could sense the interactions in the antechamber, which made her quite sinister.

She could overpower Treguard and banish his apparition from her chamber. She also intimidated the advisors if they thwarted her attempts to guide the dungeoneer astray.

Lillith was kinder to younger teams or dungeoneers who carried an object she liked, such as a silk glove.

But there was no second chance if the team could not please Lillith. She racked up more victims than any other single Knightmare character.
